Luis Torres Fatal Riverside Pedestrian Accident at Indiana Avenue and Jefferson Street Tuesday Evening
Man Hit and Killed by Vehicle at Indiana Avenue and Jefferson Street in Riverside ID’d as Luis Torres
Riverside, California (February 4, 2021) – 82-year-old Luis Torres has been identified as the Riverside victim who died following a pedestrian accident that happened in Riverside Tuesday evening, the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office reported.
Police responded to the fatal crash site at around 6:05 p.m., February 2, in the area of Indiana Avenue and Jefferson Street.
A pickup truck operated by a 22-year-old Moreno Valley man, eastbound on Indiana Avenue, hit Torres while walking across the street in the evening hours.
Meanwhile, the Moreno Valley man remained at the scene after striking Torres.
Intoxication was not believed to have played a role in the mishap.
Officials shut down Indiana Avenue between Jefferson and Detroit Drive for an unknown time.
The Riverside Police Department is investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
