Maurice Hill Jr. ID’d as Riverside Man Killed in Riverside Car Accident on Pearblossom Highway near 248th Street East
Riverside, California (November 17, 2020) – Authorities have identified Maurice C. Hill Jr., 19, of Riverside, as the man who was killed in a fiery two-vehicle crash on Monday morning in the Llano area of the Antelope Valley, Riverside.
The fatal head-on crash occurred on Pearblossom Highway, east of 248th Street East, at about 5:00 a.m. on November 16.
As per the CHP report, a 2008 Mazda 6, driven by Hill Jr., was traveling eastbound on the highway when it crossed into the westbound side of the road.
Unfortunately, the Mazda collided head-on with a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 57-year-old man from Pinon Hills. Following the collision, both vehicles caught fire, the officials said.
Hill Jr. sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
The Chevrolet’s driver sustained major injuries and was taken to Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment.
Intoxication was not suspected of having played a role in the mishap.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
