Ernie Taylor ID’d as 66-Year-Old Man Killed in Cameron Park Pedestrian Crash on Green Valley Road
Cameron Park, California (November 17, 2020) – Ernie Taylor, 66, of Placerville, has been identified as the pedestrian who was killed in a Thursday afternoon traffic accident in Cameron Park, authorities said.
The fatal pedestrian crash occurred in the Rite Aid parking lot on Green Valley Road, at about 1:15 p.m., on November 12.
According to the CHP, a 90-year-old Shingle Springs woman was parking her 2016 Lexus RX 450 when she struck Taylor, who was walking through the pharmacy’s parking lot.
The 90-year-old woman was reportedly backing the vehicle from the front of the store. She was reversing in a southerly direction.
Taylor was transported to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
An investigation into the collision is underway.
