Yreka Pedestrian Accident on South Main Street Kills One Person
Yreka, California (January 24, 2021) – A pedestrian accident that happened Thursday evening in Yreka resulted in the death of a 70-year-old person, a local news source reported.
The deadly crash took place just before 6:30 p.m. on, January 21, along South Main Street.
As per the Yreka Police Department report, a vehicle driven by a 43-year-old Siskiyou County woman struck an individual while attempting to cross S. Main Street outside of a crosswalk.
The pedestrian, a Yreka resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.
There was no other victim hurt, including the female driver.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
