Riverside Motorcycle Collision at Main Street and Alamo Street Kills 20-Year-Old Justin Gatewood
Riverside, California (January 24, 2021) – The Riverside Police Department has identified the victim who died following a motorcycle crash Thursday afternoon in Riverside as 20-year-old Justin Gatewood.
The deadly crash took place at Main Street and Alamo Street just before 5:30 p.m. January 21.
The accident involved a northbound 2014 Subaru Crosstrek that was turning onto Alamo Street and motorcyclists heading southbound on Main Street.
It was not immediately established how the collision occurred, but officials said the two motorbikes did not have forward-facing lights and were illegal to be driven on the street.
Gatewood, who was one of two off-road riders, died in the accident.
Limited details about the crash were released at the time of the report.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
