Authorities Arrests Victor Castillo Following South San Francisco Pedestrian Accident on Village Way
Pedestrian Seriously Hurt in South San Francisco Traffic Collision on Village Way, Victor Castillo Arrested
South San Francisco, California (January 24, 2021) – A pedestrian was hospitalized with serious injuries after being struck by an alleged hit-and-run driver, 52-year-old Victor Hernandez Castillo, in South San Francisco Wednesday night.
On January 20, at approximately 8:00 p.m., officials received a crash report involving a 50-year-old pedestrian and a vehicle in the 200 block of Village Way.
An automobile operated by Castillo reportedly struck the pedestrian on the roadway under unclear circumstances.
Castillo, a South San Francisco resident, did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.
Paramedics rushed the victim to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries sustained in the mishap.
On Thursday, Castillo was arrested and booked into San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of felony hit-and-run with injuries and being an unlicensed driver.
The accident remains under an active investigation. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the South San Francisco Police Department at (650) 877-8900.
