Woman Killed in Roseville Car Accident on Highway 99 near Dillard Road
Roseville, California (January 9, 2021) – A woman died early Friday morning after being hit by a suspected DUI driver in Roseville, according to a police report.
At around 2:20 a.m. January 8, a 26-yer-old woman was driving her 2015 Nissan Sentra northbound on Highway 99, just north of Dillard Road when she collided with a 2015 Nissan 370Z in unclear circumstances.
Both drivers got out of their vehicles and were talking when a 1996 Volkswagen Jetta struck the Roseville woman and the Nissan 370Z.
Sadly, the woman sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name was withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
The driver of the Volkswagen Jetta, 23-year-old Jesus S. Hernandez, 23, of Bridgeport, Washington, was found to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of DUI.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
