Karen Veninga-Zaricor Arrested Following Soquel DUI Motorcycle Accident on North Rodeo Gulch Road
Authorities ID’d Motorist Struck and Injured Motorcyclist on North Rodeo Gulch in Soquel
Soquel, California (January 9, 2021) – A 55-year-old motorcyclist was hospitalized with major injuries after being involved in a suspected DUI traffic collision in Soquel.
Officials said the major injury motorcycle accident took place on North Rodeo Gulch Road.
The mishap happened when a 2013 Audi driven by Karen Veninga-Zaricor north on North Rodeo Gulch Road crossed the double yellow line for unknown reasons.
The Audi then crashed head-on with a southbound Triumph motorcycle.
Paramedics rushed the rider to Santa Clara County hospital for treatment of severe injuries sustained in the wreck.
Police arrested Veninga-Zaricor for driving under the influence of drugs.
The accident remains under investigation.
