Tiannah Ruvalcaba Arrested after Fatal Head-On Collision on Fernbridge Drive in Fortuna
Fortuna, California (January 31, 2021) – Tiannah Ruvalcaba, 25, of Phillipsville, was arrested on suspicion of DUI following a fatal collision that happened near Fortuna in Humboldt County on Thursday morning.
The fatal accident was reported at around 1:15 a.m. January 28, on Fernbridge Drive.
Ruvalcaba was driving a 2006 Honda Civic northbound on Fernbridge Drive when, for unknown reasons, she drifted into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a 1988 Ford Mustang.
The Mustang driver was killed in the crash.
The police did not disclose the name of the deceased.
Ruvalcaba was taken to St. Joseph hospital for treatment of major injuries.
She was later arrested for driving under the influence.
More information about the crash was not provided.
The CHP is investigating the accident.
