Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident on E Street near Broadway in Chula Vista
Chula Vista, California (January 31, 2021) – A 57-year-old man died in a pedestrian accident in Chula Vista on Saturday evening, according to a police report.
The pedestrian accident happened along E Street just west of Broadway, at about 7:10 p.m. January 30.
The man was crossing the street when a Toyota Tundra struck him.
The victim suffered major injuries and was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The name of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
The pickup truck driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Neither alcohol nor drugs appeared to be a factor in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
