2 Killed in Multi-Vehicle Collision at Union Avenue and Brundage Lane in Bakersfield
Bakersfield, California (January 31, 2021) – Two people were killed and two others were seriously injured in a suspected DUI crash in Bakersfield, early Sunday morning.
The California Highway Patrol said the collision was reported shortly after 2:17 a.m. at the intersection of Union Avenue and Brundage Lane.
Three vehicles were involved in the crash, but events leading up to the collision were not immediately established.
Two people were pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other people were transported to the hospital with major injuries.
The CHP said Jesus Moran Mendoza, 35, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and gross vehicular manslaughter.
