77-Year-Old Man Dies after Orangevale Pedestrian Crash on Hickory Avenue near Central Avenue
Orangevale, California (January 1, 2021) – A 77-year-old man was hit and killed by a vehicle on Thursday in Orangevale, authorities said.
The deadly pedestrian accident occurred on December 31, on Hickory Avenue near Central Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 77-year-old male pedestrian was walking on Hickory Avenue and was wearing dark clothing when a southbound vehicle struck him.
Sadly, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Alcohol, drugs, or speed were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
