Pedestrian Hit, Killed by Vehicle at San Jose Avenue and 24th Street in San Francisco
San Francisco, California (January 28, 2021) – An 85-year-old man died after a pedestrian accident that happened in San Francisco last week Tuesday.
According to the police report, the accident was reported around 8:30 p.m., January 19, at the intersection of San Jose Avenue and 24th Street.
The primary investigation showed that the pedestrian was walking inside a crosswalk when a Toyota Corolla, driven by a 52-year-old man, struck him.
Officials responded to the crash and found the elderly pedestrian lying down on the roadway.
The pedestrian was rushed to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead on Saturday, January 23.
The Toyota driver stayed at the scene after the accident and cooperated with the authorities.
The name of the deceased was not released pending notification of the next of kin.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
