Fatal Car Accident on Highway 12 near Oakmont Drive in Sonoma Valley Kills Michael Williams
Sonoma Valley, California (January 6, 2021) – The Santa Rosa victim who was hurt following a fatal traffic collision that took place in Sonoma Valley Monday morning has been identified as 60-year-old Michael Williams, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
At approximately 8:20 a.m., on January 4, the California Highway Patrol received a crash report involving two vehicles on Highway 12, east of Oakmont Drive.
The accident involved a Nissan Sentra operated by 21-year-old Alondra Bandt Valero of Sonoma westbound on Highway 12 and a Chevrolet truck driven by Williams on the highway’s eastbound side.
The initial report showed that the Nissan Sentra lost control on a curve and crossed into the opposite lane, where the Chevrolet then slammed into its right side.
Two victims, Valero, and her 44-year-old mother, died in the accident.
Williams was hospitalized at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
