San Pedro Early Sunday Morning Pedestrian Crash near 14th and Gaffey Streets Left Gregorio Oropeza
San Pedro, California (January 5, 2021) – 71-year-old Gregorio Oropeza, of San Pedro, has been identified as the victim who was struck and killed by a vehicle in San Pedro early Sunday morning, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
Police responded to the fatal crash site at about 12:55 a.m. near 14th and Gaffey streets.
It was not immediately established how Oropeza was hit by a vehicle in the morning hours.
Meanwhile, the involved motorist remained at the crash site after hitting Oropeza.
Oropeza died in the accident.
The detectives handling the case are gathering more evidence to identify the cause of the accident.
