Joseph Bertinoia Fatal Hit-and-Run Vacaville Pedestrian Collision on Hartley Road at Robinson Road Friday Morning
Coroner ID’d Joseph Bertinoia as Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Hartley Road at Robinson Road
Vacaville, California (January 15, 2021) – The Solano County Coroner has identified 32-year-old Joseph Bertinoia as the male party who died after being involved in suspected hit-and-run crash Friday morning in Vacaville.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the fatal crash site at approximately 6:55 a.m. on Hartley Road at Robinson Road, just west of Interstate 505 and north of Midway Road.
The accident happened when Bertinoia, who was diving a Volkwagen sedan, exited his vehicle after it acquired a mechanical problem and was disabled.
Bertinoia was then hit by an automobile that was heading northbound on Hartley Road.
Bertinoia did following the mishap.
The detectives handling the case are gathering more evidence to locate the involved motorist who escaped the scene after hitting Bertinoia. Anyone with information regarding the crash is urged to call Officer Ensley at (707) 428-2100.
