Boyle Heights Hit-And-Run Suspect on Cesar E. Chavez Avenue and Soto Street ID’d as Jose Farias
Boyle Heights, California (January 7, 2021) – Authorities have arrested the Huntington Park hit-and-run suspect who struck and injured a pedestrian in Boyle Heights last month.
The pedestrian accident took place on December 19 in the area of Cesar E. Chavez Avenue and Soto Street.
An automobile driven by 26-year-old Jose Farias was making a turn from Soto Street when he struck a woman who was walking with her husband at about 5:35 p.m.
Farias did not stop to offer aid and fled the crash site.

The pedestrian was hospitalized following the mishap.
On Monday, January 4, Farias was arrested in connection with this wreck.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
