Anaheim Pedestrian Collision at Harbor Boulevard and Katella Avenue Left Male Party Dead
Fatal Anaheim Pedestrian Crash at Harbor Boulevard and Katella Avenue Wednesday Morning
Anaheim, California (January 7, 2021) – An alleged DUI pedestrian accident that took place in Anaheim Wednesday morning left male party dead.
Police responded to the fatal crash site at approximately 1:15 a.m. at the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and Katella Avenue.
A pedestrian was hit by a white Astro van while crossing the street in the morning hours.
Due to the impact, the male party was thrown into a marked crosswalk while the van slammed into a palm tree.
The man, in a security guard uniform, died following the mishap.
Meanwhile, van operator survived with minor injuries and was rushed to an area hospital for further medication.
Police later arrested the involved driver after being discharged from the hospital.
The intersection was closed down for an unknown time as investigation and clean-up took place.
