Motorcyclist and Bicyclist Killed in Jamul Collision on Otay Lakes Road
Jamul, California (January 11, 2021) – A motorcyclist and a bicyclist were killed in a traffic accident on Sunday morning in Jamul, San Diego, authorities said.
The fatal accident occurred on Otay Lakes Road near the Pio Pico RV Resort and Campground about 9:30 a.m., on January 10.
A group of cyclists was headed eastbound on Otay Lakes Road in a line when the passing motorcyclist struck the bicyclist. The bicyclist was the last in the line, the officials said.
The motorcyclist was also headed eastbound in a group with three friends.
Sadly, the motorcyclist and the bicyclist were killed in the accident.
Traffic on the roadway was stopped for an unknown period due to the collision.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
