Woman Killed in San Ysidro Pedestrian Crash on Interstate 5 near Via De San Ysidro ID’d as Leticia Sierra
San Ysidro, California (December 15, 2020) – 52-year-old Leticia Luna Sierra has been identified as the victim who died following a pedestrian accident in San Ysidro earlier this month, the San Diego Medical Examiner’s Office reported.
The fatal crash was reported at about 12:41 a.m., December 1, on Interstate 5, just north of Via De San Ysidro.
The California Highway Patrol said Sierra was crossing from the center divider to the freeway’s right shoulder when she was struck by a vehicle on Tuesday.
Sierra reportedly died in the accident.
The detectives handling the case are gathering more evidence to determine the cause of the accident.
