Ivan Kreft Killed in El Cajon Motorcycle Accident on Pepper Drive, Pamela Gilmore Arrested

El Cajon, California (December 15, 2020) – The El Cajon motorcyclist who died after being struck by a vehicle in the Bostonia community has been identified as 32-year-old Ivan Kreft, according to a report by the San Diego Medical Examiner.

The deadly crash took place at about 7:06 a.m. on Pepper Drive at Garywood Street, just north of El Cajon.

As per the California Highway Patrol report, an eastbound 2005 Suzuki GSXR 1000 motorcycle ridden by Ivan Kreft crashed into the driver’s side of a black 2011 Kia Sportage after its driver, 59-year-old Pamela Gilmore, turned westbound towards Pepper Drive.

Gilmore, who was heading northbound on Plumeria Drive, was intoxicated at the time of the collision.

Due to the impact, Ivan Kreft was ejected from the bike.

Sadly, Ivan Kreft was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gilmore sustained minor wounds while her 83-year-old passenger was not hurt in the wreck.

Tow trucks were requested to remove both vans away from the scene.

Gilmore was arrested and booked at Los Colinas Women’s Detention Facility and faces charges of felony DUI causing injury and gross vehicular manslaughter. Meanwhile, she is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
