Oakland Accident on Interstate 880 Left Pedestrian Dead
Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Interstate 880 in Oakland
Oakland, California (December 26, 2020) – A pedestrian accident that took place in Oakland Thursday night resulted in the death of one person.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the deadly crash site shortly before 9:10 p.m., December 24, in the northbound lanes of Interstate 880.
A Toyota Corolla struck a male party while walking on the highway under unclear circumstances.
Officials said the victim was hit by at least one other vehicle.
Meanwhile, both drivers stopped and cooperated with the law.
Sadly the pedestrian died in the accident.
Intoxication was not believed to have played a role in the wreck.
An investigation into the deadly accident is underway.
