Jassin Williams Killed in Napa Head-On Accident on Highway 29
Passenger Killed Napa 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 29 ID’d as 50-Year-Old Jassin Williams
Napa, California (December 26, 2020) – The Clearlake passenger who died following a head-on accident Wednesday afternoon in Napa has been identified as 50-year-old Jassin Williams.
On December 23, at around 12:35 p.m., the California Highway Patrol received a crash report involving two cars on Highway 29, north of Robert Louis Stevenson State Park and Mount St. Helena.
The mishap involved a 2013 Lexus driven by 35-year-old Steven Benedetti and a 2006 Lexus, operated by 40-year-old Sean Spurlock of Clear Lake southbound on Highway 29.
The two cars crashed head-on after Spurlock’s car crossed the solid double yellow line into the roadway’s northbound lane.
Williams, who was a passenger in the 2006 Lexus, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both drivers, Steven Benedetti and Spurlock, suffered major injuries following the wreck. Benedetti was hospitalized at Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa while Spurlock was flown to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital by helicopter.
Another passenger, 34-year-old Richard Benedetti of Danville, was airlifted to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment of major injuries. He was riding as a passer in Steven Benedetti‘s 2013 Lexus.
Officials affirmed all the involved victims were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
An investigation into the fatal crash is underway.
