Michael Jenkins ID’d as Person Killed in Port Hueneme Pedestrian Crash at Ventura Road and Channel Islands Boulevard
Port Hueneme, California (December 17, 2020) – Michael Jenkins, 30, has been identified as the pedestrian who was hit and killed by a vehicle on Friday night in Port Hueneme, authorities said.
The pedestrian occurred at about 10:00 p.m., on December 5, at the intersection of Ventura Road and Channel Islands Boulevard.
According to the police, Jenkins was crossing Ventura Road on foot, in a westbound direction, when a vehicle struck him on the southbound side of the roadway.
Jenkins sustained major injuries and was taken to Ventura County Medical Center. Jenkins succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the officials.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
