Motorcyclist Jason Middaugh Killed in Redding Traffic Crash at Eureka Way and Sunset Drive
Jason Middaugh Fatal Redding Motorcycle Accident at Eureka Way and Sunset Drive Sunday Night
Redding, California (December 23, 2020) – 41-year-old Jason Alan Middaugh has been identified by the Shasta County Coroner’s office as the Weed rider who died following a traffic accident Sunday night in Redding.
Police responded to the deadly motorcycle crash site just before 7:00 p.m., December 20, at the intersection of Eureka Way and Sunset Drive.
A 2007 Audi crashed head-on with a 2016 Yamaha motorcycle operated by Middaugh at the intersection for unknown reasons.
Middaugh, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision, died in the mishap.
There were no other victim hurt including the Audi operator who remained at the scene.
Neither drugs nor alcohol were considered factors in the crash.
Meanwhile, the wreck resulted in the closure of Eureka Way for several hours.
The CHP is still investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
