Captain Kevin Clark Struck and Injured by Hit-And-Run Driver at 10th Street and Winter Avenue
Kingsburg, California (December 9, 2020) –Authorities have identified Captain Kevin Clark as the Kingsburg Fire Captain who was struck and injured by an alleged hit-and-run driver Tuesday morning in Kingsburg.
Police responded to the crash site at approximately 10:40 a.m., December 8, near 10th Street and Winter Avenue.
Clark was at the site of a previous day’s fire completing an overhaul when a black Mazda, driven by a white or light-skinned Hispanic party, hit him.
Clark was thrown several feet into the air and struck a telephone pole upon the impact.
The driver, aged between late 20s to early 40s, fled the scene following the wreck.
Medical personnel rushed Clark to an area hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
The accident remains under an active investigation.
