Woman Struck and Hurt by Hit-And-Run Driver on E. Division Street in National City

National City, California (November 20, 2020) – A 28-year-old woman was hospitalized with serious injuries after being involved in an alleged hit-and-run pedestrian accident Thursday night in National City.

Officials responded to the fatal crash site shortly before 9:00 p.m., November 19, along E. Division Street.

The female party was struck by a westbound silver sedan while crossing the street east of Highland Avenue.

The pedestrian was thrown around 55 feet into the air upon the impact.

Paramedics rushed the patient to UC San Diego Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.

The detectives handling the case are gathering more evidence to locate the driver who escaped the scene after the mishap.
