Rider Killed in Bakersfield Motorcycle Accident on Highway 99 near Highway 58
Bakersfield, California (November 21, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Friday afternoon traffic accident that killed a motorcyclist in Bakersfield, authorities said.
The deadly motorcycle accident happened at about 2:18 p.m., on November 20, 2:18 p.m. in the northbound lanes just north of Highway 85.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a semi-truck collided with a motorcycle on the highway in unclear circumstances.
Following the collision, the rider was ejected onto the roadway, the officials said.
Sadly, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Traffic on the roadway was stopped for an unknown period due to the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
