Silas Greer ID’d as 38-Year-Old Man Killed in Oakland Pedestrian Accident at East 19th Street and 23rd Avenue
Oakland, California (November 21, 2020) – Silas Greer, 38, of Antioch, has been identified as the man who was hit and killed by a vehicle earlier this month in Oakland, police said.
The deadly pedestrian accident transpired at about 5:12 p.m., on Monday, November 9, at East 19th Street and 23rd Avenue.
An initial report showed that Greer was possibly shot, but after further investigation, it was revealed that he had been struck by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene, the authorities said.
Greer was transported to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Furthermore, the Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland offer up to $10,000 in reward money for information leading to the suspect’s arrest.
