Steven Spindler ID’d as 69-Year-Old Man Killed in Aptos Car Crash at Freedom Boulevard and Valencia Road
Aptos, California (November 18, 2020) – The San Mateo County coroner’s office has identified Steven Spindler, 69, of Aptos, as the man who was killed in a two-vehicle accident earlier this month in Aptos.
The fatal accident occurred at the intersection of Freedom Boulevard and Valencia Road at about 5:00 p.m. Thursday, November 5.
As per the CHP report, a 2010 Dodge Caravan, driven by Spindler, was traveling northbound on Freedom Boulevard when it made a left turn onto Valencia Road and crashed into a 1999 Ford E150 that was heading southbound.
Spindler was injured in the accident and was taken to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. He was later transported to Mills-Peninsula Medical Center in San Mateo County, where he succumbed to his injuries on Friday, November 13.
The condition of the Ford’s driver, a 64-year-old Watsonville resident, was not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
