Lorene Negrete Killed in Truck Accident on Lincoln Avenue in Fowler
Fowler, California (November 27, 2020) – Lorene Negrete, 57, of Del Rey, has been identified by Fresno County Coroner’s office as the woman who was killed in a collision involving a big rig on Wednesday evening in Fowler.
The California Highway Patrol said the collision occurred at around 6 p.m. November 25, on Lincoln Avenue near Temperance Avenue.
Negrete was driving a Ford Fusion westbound on Lincoln when she collided with a big rig that was heading northbound on Temperance Avenue.
The Ford was pinned underneath the semi-truck after the collision.
Negrete was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Alcohol and drug did not play a role in the crash.
The CHP is investigating the accident.
