Cherry Valley Crash at Brookside Avenue and Union Street Kills Cody Kolkow
Cherry Valley, California (November 6, 2020) – Authorities have released the Beaumont victim’s name, who died following a traffic collision Wednesday evening in Cherry Valley.
The deadly crash took place in the area of Brookside Avenue and Union Street Just after 6:00 p.m. November 4.
The accident involved a Ford Mustang driven by 18-year-old Cody Kolkow westbound on Brookside Avenue and a Chevrolet Silverado that was operated by a 39-year-old Beaumont man south on Union Avenue.
Due to the impact, the Mustang slammed into a wooden utility pole.

Sadly, Kolkow was declared deceased at the scene.
Meanwhile, a 41-year-old Indio woman, who was riding in the Chevrolet Silverado, was hospitalized at San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital in Banning with minor injuries.
There were no other victims hurt in the mishap.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
