Banning Pedestrian Crash on Interstate 10 Seriously Injures Female Party
Banning, California (November 5, 2020) – A pedestrian was struck and seriously hurt by a vehicle Wednesday morning in Banning, a local news source reported.
Officials responded to the major injury crash site at about 11:10 a.m., on Interstate 10.
The accident began when a woman, who was a passenger in a car that had stopped on the side of the highway, got out and attempted to change positions with the driver.
The female party was then sheared by a big rig east of Highland Springs Avenue in the morning hours.
Medical personnel responded to the scene and rushed the pedestrian to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs for treatment of major injuries, including broken bones.
Neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected factors in the wreck. An investigation into the accident is underway.
