Corning Car Accident on Interstate 5 Kills 33-Year-Old Brittnie Lahue

Corning, California (November 5, 2020) – Authorities have released the name of the Redding victim who died following a traffic accident in Corning Monday morning.

The fatal traffic collision occurred at about 6:00 a.m., November 2, on Interstate 5.

The mishap happened when a 1991 Toyota Land Cruiser driven by 33-year-old Brittnie Lahue, northbound on the I-5 freeway, swerved into the left before traveling across the center divider into the southbound lanes.

The Toyota was then struck by a big rig operated by Erie resident 50-year-old Daniel Joosten southbound along the roadway.

Due to the impact, both automobiles ended up on the west side of the interstate, and the Toyota Land Cruiser burst into flames.

The initial report showed that the fire spread into the vegetation and reached the big rig, but firefighters extinguished it.

Sadly, Lahue was pronounced deceased at the scene.

More details regarding the accident will be released immediately after the completion of the investigation.
