Live Oak Pedestrian Crash at 17th Avenue and Rodriguez Street Sends Female Party to Hospital

Live Oak, California (February 3, 2021) – A pedestrian collision that took place Friday afternoon in Live Oak seriously injured a female party, a local news source reported.

The accident, involving a 2006 Ford F-250, was reported on January 29, at the intersection of 17th Avenue and Rodriguez Street.

The Ford operated by a 57-year-old Aptos man, southbound on the highway, hit the woman while crossing in a crosswalk at the Live Oak intersection.

Officials said the pedestrian was heading in an easterly direction across 17th Avenue while the truck driver was making a left turn onto 17th Avenue at the collision time.

The female pedestrian was hospitalized with sustained major injuries following the wreck.

Meanwhile, neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected factors in the mishap.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
