Jose Gastelum Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash at 1st Street and Reed Street in San Jose
San Jose, California (February 4, 2021) – Jose Francisco Gastelum, 36, has been identified as the bicyclist who was killed Sunday morning in a hit-and-run accident in the area of South 1st Street and Reed Street in San Jose.
Gastelum was riding his bicycle at around 4:27 a.m. January 31 when he was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado that was traveling the wrong way on southbound 1st Street.
Gastelum died at the scene.
The involved driver fled the scene after the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
