San Francisco, California (January 3, 2021) – One of the two female parties who died in an alleged hit-and-run pedestrian collision in San Francisco Thursday afternoon has been identified as 60-year-old Elizabeth Platt.

Officials responded to the fatal crash site at about 4:00 p.m., December 31, in the area of Second and Mission streets.

A stolen gray Honda operated by 45-year-old Troy Ramon McAlister struck Platt and another 27-year-old woman while walking in the South of Market neighborhood in San Francisco.

McAlister, who ran a red light prior to the crash, escaped the crash site on foot after hitting the pedestrians.

Both women, including Platt, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials affirmed McAlister was driving under the influence of alcohol and was on parole for robbery.

Meanwhile, McAlister was arrested on suspicion of voluntary manslaughter after he was later located hiding in a nearby commercial building.
