Lincoln Heights, California (January 2, 2021) – One person died following a pedestrian collision that happened on an interstate in Lincoln late Heights Friday night, January 1.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the deadly crash site at about11:10 p.m. on Golden State (5) Freeway just south of the Arroyo Seco Parkway.

An individual was reportedly struck by a vehicle while walking northbound long the freeway under unclear circumstances.

Sadly, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The wreck resulted in the closure of the Nos. 1, 2, and 3 lanes of the northbound Golden State Freeway for an unknown time.

The accident remains under unclear circumstances.
