Jeffrey Latta Killed in San Jose Motorcycle Crash on State Route 130 near Kincaid Road

San Jose, California (January 26, 2021) – The motorcyclist killed in a collision on Saturday afternoon in San Jose has been identified by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office as Jeffrey Michael Latta, 49, of Novato.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly crash happened at about 2:50 p.m. January 23, on State Route 130, just east of Kincaid Road.

Latta was riding a 1999 Suzuki westbound on State Route 130 when he crossed the double-yellow and collided with an eastbound Chevrolet Volt.

Latta suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Chevrolet driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Additional details about the crash were not provided.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
