Oxnard Male Bicyclist Killed in Oxnard Accident at S Oxnard Boulevard and W Wooley Road
Oxnard, California (January 11, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Saturday afternoon semi-truck accident that killed a 75-year-old male bicyclist from Oxnard in Oxnard.
The fatal crash occurred at the intersection of S Oxnard Boulevard and W Wooley Road at about 3:43 p.m., on January 9.
According to the officials, a 2019 Peterbilt semi-truck, driven by a 21-year-old man from Fresno, was turning from Wooley Road onto Oxnard Boulevard and was headed northbound, towing a 53-foot trailer, when it struck the bicyclist.
Sadly, the bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 21-year-old man remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Intoxication was not suspected of having played a role in the collision.
Traffic at the intersection was stopped for several hours due to the accident.
