Authorities ID’d Woman Hospitalized after Menifee Car Collision on Interstate 215 near Scott Road as Elizabeth Roberts
Menifee, California (January 13, 2021) – Authorities have identified the 55-year-old woman who was hospitalized with severe injuries following a car accident in Menifee early Thursday morning as Elizabeth Robert.
The accident was reported on December 31 along Interstate 215 near Scott Road exit in Hemet.
As per the report, authorities identified a pickup, possibly stolen in Ridgecrest, and the pursuit began on the freeway. The suspect’s car was reportedly traveling the wrong way before it crashed with a LabCorp van in the morning hours.
Due to the impact, Roberts was pinned inside the van and had to be rescued.
Meanwhile, the suspect escaped the crash scene on foot after abandoning the pickup while moving.
Roberts was hospitalized at Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar with severe injuries sustained in the mishap.
