Woman Killed in Semi-Truck Accident on Highway 99 in Merced
Merced, California (December 6, 2020) – According to authorities, a woman in her 40s was killed in a semi-truck accident early Saturday morning in Merced.
The fatal crash happened just before 3:00 a.m., December 5, on Highway 99 near Mission Avenue.
Authorities said the woman rear-ended a semi-truck on the highway. She then pulled over and got out to check on the damage to her car. An oncoming semi-truck sideswiped her car, which then hit her.
The woman was killed in the crash.
Her name has not been released.
Another woman in the car was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation.
