Victim Killed in Bakersfield Single-Vehicle Accident on Highway 178 near Democrat Road ID’d as 44-Year-Old Brandon Borden

Bakersfield, California (December 11, 2020) – 44-year-old Brandon Glenn Borden has been identified as the male party who died following a traffic collision in Bakersfield Tuesday morning, the Kern County coroner’s office reported.

The fatal single-car crash happened on Highway 178 west of Democrat Road at about 10 a.m. on December 9.

For unknown reasons, Borden’s vehicle veered off the highway before going off the freeway and down an embankment.

Borden was pronounced dead at the scene, the California Highway Patrol said.

Meanwhile, the detectives handling the case are gathering more evidence to identify the cause of the accident.
