Steve Ibarra Killed in Bakersfield Pedestrian Accident on Highway 58
Bakersfield, California (December 18, 2020) – Steve Alejandro Ibarra, 28, has been identified as the man who was hit and killed by an SUV in Bakersfield on Wednesday night
The fatal accident happened at around 11 p.m. December 16, on Highway 58, just east of Hughes Lane.
The California Highway Patrol said Ibarra was running across the traffic lanes when he was struck by an SUV.
The SUV driver reportedly attempted to stop but was unable to avoid hitting the pedestrian.
Ibarra was killed in the accident.
The accident resulted in the closure of the westbound lanes of Highway 58 for several hours.
