Woman Killed in El Monte Pedestrian Crash at San Gabriel and Rosemead Boulevards
Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle at San Gabriel and Rosemead Boulevards in El Monte
El Monte, California (December 18, 2020) – A 61-year-old Norwalk woman was struck and killed by a vehicle on Thursday evening in South El Monte.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident was reported at around 6:20 p.m. December 17, at the intersection of San Gabriel and Rosemead boulevards.
The woman was reportedly standing in the center median and was attempting to cross the street when she was hit by a 2001 GMC truck.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, a 28-year-old La Puente man remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
