Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Harbor (110) Freeway in Watts, Los Angeles
Watts, California (December 26, 2020) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in the Watts area of Los Angeles on Friday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal accident happened at about 2:53 p.m. December 25, on Harbor (110) Freeway near the Century Boulevard off-ramp
A 23-year-old Los Angeles man was driving a 2015 Nissan Altima southbound on the freeway when, for unknown reasons, it went off the roadway and crashed into a raised concrete curb.
The car continued and struck a 50-year-old Los Angeles man who was walking in the area.
The unidentified pedestrian was killed in the accident.
The Nissan driver complained of pain in his chest and had an abrasion to his lip.
No other information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
