Port Hueneme, California (December 7, 2020) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident that occurred at an intersection in Port Hueneme on Friday night.
The fatal accident happened just after 10:00 p.m. December 4, in the area of Channel Islands Boulevard and Ventura Road.
As per a local news report, the pedestrian was walking across Ventura Road when a vehicle hit him.
The man suffered major injuries and was taken to Ventura County Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Alcohol and drugs did not appear to be a factor in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
