Michael Jaco Killed, Brian Case Injured in Lower Lake Car Crash on Highway 29 at C Street
Lake County, California (December 21, 2020) – The Lake County Sheriff’s Office has disclosed the identity of a man who was killed in a car crash in Lower Lake on Thursday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 5:52 p.m. December 17, on Highway 29 at C Street.
41-year-old Michael Brandon Jaco was driving a 1999 Toyota Corolla northbound on Highway 29 when he crashed into the rear of a 2001 Peterbilt 300 series truck that was preparing to make a left turn at the intersection.
Jaco was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The truck driver, 48-year-old Brian Case, of Clearlake, and his passenger were injured in the accident and were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The CHP said neither drugs nor alcohol were factors in the accident.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
