1 Killed, 4 Injured in Head-On Collision on Highway 145 near Avenue 9 ½ in Madera County
Madera County, California (December 20, 2020) – A man was killed in a head-on collision in Madera County on Saturday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 145 north of Avenue 9 ½ at about 12:30 p.m. December 19.
A Chevrolet Cruze driven by Parminder Singh, 19, was traveling southbound on Highway 41 when it crossed into the northbound lanes and collided head-on with a Lexus RX300 driven by a Fresno woman.
The Chevrolet went off the roadway and burst into flames.
A 30-year-old from Madera who was riding in the Lexus was killed in the accident.
Singh and his 23-year-old passenger, both residents of Kerman, were seriously injured in the accident and were transported to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The Lexus driver and her 31-year-old female passenger were also seriously injured and were transported to CRMC for treatment.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
