Jackson Allender Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Pacific Coast Highway in Long Beach
Long Beach, California (December 4, 2020) – Jackson Allender, 32, of Long Beach has been identified as the pedestrian who was fatally struck by a car in Long Beach on Wednesday evening.
The Long Beach police said the accident was reported at around 7:15 p.m. December 2, at Pacific Coast Highway and Lewis Avenue.
A 2004 Mercury sedan was traveling east on PCH when it crashed into a parked vehicle and a pedestrian crossing the street.
The pedestrian, who has since been identified as Allender, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The sedan driver, 30-year-old Joshua Lemusu of Long Beach, fled the scene after the crash and was later arrested and booked on suspicion of driving under the influence, hit-and-run, and gross vehicular manslaughter.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
